Determinant Factor Analysis for Return to Work Types of Occupationally Injured Workers

This study analyzes the factors of return-to-work types & regional charactertics using survey data of new occupationally disabled workers in the first half of 2011. The return-to-work type is are three types, ¡®job retention¡¯, ¡®re-employment¡¯, ¡®Self-employed¡¯. The aim of this study is to target differential vocational rehabilitation and to serve information for setting the policy direction on the basis of the analysis results. The empirical results shows that younger age, shorter treatment duration is quite practicable return to work and foreign is quite practicable reemployment. Case management for participants were presented rather higher the probability of self-employed or re-employment than job retention. We also find that job retention is higher In Busan, Incheon area than in Seoul area. The other hand, Self-employed is higher in Gwangju, Daejeon area. Therefore return to work of occupationally disabled workers policy is required to considering the characteristics, regional, age, case management.
